The prices for long term car rentals in Portugal typically vary between €450 and €850 per month, with economy cars starting around €400 and SUVs reaching €900+. Booking for longer periods significantly reduces the daily rate, often dropping to as low as €12–€20 per day. For renters whose driving license is issued by a non-EU country, an International Driving Permit (IDP) or a certified translation of the driving license will be required. How much is the deposit amount for long term rentals in Portugal?

The rental car deposit in Portugal usually ranges between €300 to €1,500. The amount for the deposit varies depending on the rental company and vehicle category. The exact deposit amount will be specified in the Payments Method and Deposit section of the Rental Terms. 

Is there a minimum age limit for hiring long term car?

The minimum age to rent a long term car is 21 (with a few companies allowing renters as young as 18). Young drivers incur an additional charge, which will be automatically applied to all online searches. Usually payable at the rental counter (in local currency) during vehicle collection, this fee will also be specified in the supplier-specific terms and conditions.
