  • Best ever

    The Avis associate at provided exceptionally friendly and personable customer service when we picked up the car, so much so that we were left with a positive impression of AVIS as a whole. We had never heard of this company before booking the car through this third party website, but we were definitely impressed! The car we got was clean, new and great to drive. It was also nice that there was barely a line at counter when the other rental places had roped off lines and tired-looking passengers awaiting their vehicles for a long time. We walked up to the counter, were greeted promptly and given guidance where to wait. When we got to the front of the line Mike W. interacted with us like we were real people, not just a number. A positive experience for us!

    We rented a car with Avis Porto from the airport. The signs were clearly marked regarding where to go when picking up the car rental and returning the rental. Everything went so smooth from pickup to return! The car we had was very nice. It was a Cherry. Very comfortable. Very clean and drove perfectly. The staff was very nice and helpful.

    The price was good. I will be telling friends to use AVIS if they need to hire a car.

    Recently rented a car at LIS. It was my first experience with AVIS. The entire pickup process was very easy and smooth. When my plane landed I went to the counter where the agent took my credit card and license and in less than a minute I was handed my key and directed to my vehicle 2 spots over from the booth. My vehicle was practically new, in great condition and overall a great experience. Highly recommend them and will be renting from them again in Portugal soon.

    After arriving late into Funchal from Toulouse, we were concerned that we wouldn’t be able to pick up our car, and the shuttle had stopped running for the night. As our cab pulled up the the rental office the gentleman was locking up. He, very kindly, reopened the office and got us hooked up with our car. Really appreciated going the extra mile.
